As many of you know, CityTeam is a nondenominational Christian nonprofit compassionately serving the poor, the homeless, and the lost in Chester. Each year, they ask local churches to consider providing Christmas presents for children in the area as a means of communicating God's love to them. If you'd like to learn more about the program, you can read about it here: City Team Christmas Program

At this point, we're asking you to consider making a "Kid Commitment" - you can choose to sponsor 1, 2 or more children. Then, in a few weeks, you'll have the opportunity to pick the specific child/children you will be buying for. You’ll receive a list of potential presents that the child would enjoy/need. You will then purchase the gifts and return them to MPC. The minimum gift for each child is around $75, but you can do more than this if you'd like. You can also bless the family by purchasing a gift card for other needs (Target, Walmart, Giant or Acme). The exact date to bring in these gifts to MPC will be communicated at a later date. If you don't want to go through the process of purchasing gifts and delivering them to the church, there's also an option to simply give money and someone will do the shopping for you.

You can commit to this important ministry a couple different ways, by filling out the form at the bottom of this page, fill a Kid Commitment card located on the small round table in the lobby on Sunday morning and drop it in the box provided, or you can also simply email Donna at mpcadminteam@gmail.com and let her know how many kids you would like to commit to.

The deadline for signing up is November 10. Last year, MPC sponsored 55 children. We would love to match or exceed that total this year!

If you have any questions, you can reach out to Kerry Graf, who is our point person with this ministry. Kerry's email is kagraf@geo-graf.com.
