Youth Ministry

Mission
We want the students in our youth ministry to know the majesty and holiness of God. We want them to know the depths of their sin. We want them to know the deep, deep love of Jesus, especially as it was revealed at the Cross. And we want them to respond in repentance and faith. In short, we want them to know, love, and lean on the glorious Gospel.

We hope to see our students live this out in our church and in our community. Students will have chances to serve one another, their church community, and, we hope, the world.

We believe that students need to be deeply rooted in their faith. To this end, our teaching times are unashamedly theological and centered in sound Bible doctrine. We also will move beyond learning "facts" and into application. For example, we want our students to know how the doctrine of the Trinity affects their life (it does!)

We firmly believe that the local church is the center, where God designs all of this to take place. The church-based nature of the youth ministry provides an intergenerational setting where students can learn from those older and wiser than them, and learn to love those different than them.

Method
As noted above, we are all about teaching, pointing to, and reminding students of the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal in everything we do is to point to this Gospel:

· We will have fun together and realize that God has given us a creation to enjoy.

· We will sing together, reminding one another of the Gospel and praising God for who He is and what He has done.

· We will study the Bible together and learn more and more about God's plan of redemption.

· We will pray together, supporting one another and interceding for one another.

· We will serve together and live out the Gospel in our church community and beyond.
