Children's Ministry at Meadowcroft Presbyterian Church

We love children at Meadowcroft

Photo of ChildrenJoin in the fun! We have programs available for the smallest of God’s miracles (infants) to the almost tallest (upper elementary). In these programs we hope to accomplish these integral goals:

  • To educate Covenant children in the essentials of the Christian faith.
  • To demonstrate God’s love
  • To form a partnership with parents and family in bringing up Covenant children to love and obey God.
  • To spread the message of salvation to every child.
  • To expose the children to the confessions of the church through developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Using Great Commission Publications programs throughout all of our children’s classes provides a scaffolding upon which our children learn how to receive Christ by faith as well as how to share God’s love with others.

The mission of the nursery at Meadowcroft is to provide a safe, loving environment for children age 6 weeks to 3 years. We provide toys, snacks and activities to occupy the children while their parents attend the worship service. Adult and supervised teen members of the church serve as the nursery staff on a rotating basis. We provide a sign-in and sign-out procedure to ensure the security of the children while we meet at Cheyney University. We envision a child's nursery experience to be a first-exposure to loving church members who seek to be an example to them of godly service to one another. We cherish the opportunity to establish relationships with these children and their parents as part of Meadowcroft’s church family.
